We are committed to continually improving our environmental performance, reducing greenhouse gas emissions across our operations and supply chain, and supporting the UK Government's Net Zero ambitions.
About Sofemme
Sofemme Ltd is a UK-based provider of premium human hair wigs and hair loss solutions, supporting individuals experiencing medical hair loss resulting from chemotherapy, alopecia and other medical conditions.
We work with carefully selected international manufacturing partners and provide consultations both remotely and in person across the UK. As a growing small business, we recognise that sustainability is an important part of responsible business practice, and we are committed to embedding environmental considerations into our day-to-day operations.

Carbon Reduction Methodology
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been prepared in accordance with Public Procurement Notice (PPN) 06/21 and follows the principles of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard.
Sofemme Ltd is committed to continually improving the quality, accuracy and scope of its greenhouse gas reporting as the business develops. Future Carbon Reduction Plans will reflect improvements in emissions data collection and reporting methodologies.
Operational Boundary
This Carbon Reduction Plan applies to Sofemme Ltd's UK operations and includes emissions arising from activities under the company's operational control.
Relevant emission sources include:

- Purchased electricity
- Courier deliveries
- International transportation of products
- Packaging materials
- Waste management
- Digital operations
- Home and office working where applicable
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions provide the reference point against which future carbon reductions are measured.

Explanation of Scope 1 Emissions
Sofemme Ltd has reported Scope 1 emissions as 0.00 tCOâ‚‚e because, during the 2025 reporting period, the company did not own or control any direct emission sources.
The company did not own or control any company vehicles, gas boilers, generators or other fuel-consuming equipment during the reporting period. Manufacturing activities are undertaken by third-party suppliers and therefore do not fall within Sofemme Ltd's Scope 1 reporting boundary.

Carbon Reduction Targets
Sofemme Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
The 2025 reporting year establishes Sofemme Ltd's baseline emissions of 6.92 tCOâ‚‚e.
To support our Net Zero commitment, Sofemme Ltd has adopted the following interim emissions reduction target:
Interim Target: Reduce total greenhouse gas emissions by at least 20% by 2030, compared with the 2025 baseline.
This represents a reduction in total reported emissions from 6.92 tCOâ‚‚e to approximately 5.54 tCOâ‚‚e by 2030.
Progress against this target will be reviewed annually through updates to this Carbon Reduction Plan.
Sofemme Ltd intends to achieve this target by:
- Reducing unnecessary business travel through remote consultations and meetings where appropriate.
- Consolidating supplier shipments to reduce transport emissions.
- Reducing packaging materials and increasing the use of recyclable packaging where practicable.
- Increasing the use of digital documentation.
- Reviewing supplier environmental performance as part of supplier management.
- Identifying further opportunities to reduce operational emissions as the business grows.
Governance
Responsibility for environmental performance sits with the Director of Sofemme Ltd.
Progress against this Carbon Reduction Plan will be reviewed annually.
Environmental objectives will be incorporated into wider business planning to support continual improvement and progress towards Net Zero.
Declaration
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been prepared in accordance with Public Procurement Notice (PPN) 06/21 and the associated guidance for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been estimated and reported using the principles of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard. Sofemme Ltd will continue improving the quality and accuracy of its emissions reporting as further operational data becomes available.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and approved by the Director of Sofemme Ltd and will be reviewed annually.
